Every medical situation is unique. Some patients may maintain capable ovaries even at 42-43 years old and be able to use their own eggs, while others may require an egg donor to achieve success. As women age, different fertility issues may arise in addition to diminishing egg quality and quantity. By the age of 41-43, especially if there has been a history of unsuccessful IVFs, time is of the essence. Your fertility doctor may recommend donor egg IVF.
At our clinic, you can choose a donor online and plan a program that requires only one visit to the clinic for a few days.
FROZEN DONOR EGGS
Whom can egg donation help?
01 The onset of natural menopause (usually after 45 years)
02 Ovarian stimulation is prohibited due to medical reasons, and natural cycle IVF does not yield results
03 There is a developmental block in the patient’s embryos
It means that, despite the fact of successful egg fertilization, the patient’s embryos do not reach the blastocyst stage
The embryos may also show consistent aneuploidy or suffer from low vitality, which indicates reduced quality of the patient's own eggs
04 The patient is a carrier of a genetic disease. Genetic counselling is required to confirm the treatment
05 There is a history of recurrent miscarriage, which indicates that the patient is likely to need donor egg treatment
Egg donation is fully legal in Russia, and the field is under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
Non-anonymous donation is also allowed, meaning that upon reaching adulthood, the child will be able to request their donor's personal information.
Egg donors are young and fertile women who are willing to help other couples. They often choose to work with our clinic because of its reputation and reliability. In order to be an egg donor, a woman must be completely physically and mentally healthy, no older than 32 years old, and have healthy children of her own. Patients can review child and adult photos of our donors and select their preferred donors based on a wide variety of parameters.
All donors undergo a thorough medical examination, including a psychiatric appointment and an in-person interview. We grant access to a wide range of information about each donor, including detailed biometrics, education and occupation, as well as information about the donor's close relatives. Our database also includes additional materials, such as donors’ voice recordings and handwriting samples, which will help you understand your donor’s true personality even better. Egg donors are compensated financially for their participation in the program.
Egg donation is typically anonymous, with strict controls in place to protect the privacy of both the donor and the recipient. Specifically, the egg donor never learns the recipient's personal information and is not informed of the outcome of any in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures that use her eggs. Additionally, egg donors have no legal rights to any resulting children.
The confidentiality of the parties (the egg donor and the recipient) is subject to The Medical Privacy Law. Similarly, recipients of donated eggs are not permitted to obtain their donor's personal information. However, in case of non-anonymous donation, the child becomes eligible to request the information about their donor upon reaching adulthood. This information includes the donor’s personal and contact information, allowing the child to get in touch with the person who helped them get born into this world.
At NGC, it is possible to arrange for non-anonymous egg donation, with the consent of the donor. This type of program provides a real chance of leaving a bridge between the donor and your future baby, and many of NGC’s donors will be proud to agree to that. It is recommended that this arrangement is discussed and confirmed in advance.
The success rate of IVF using donor eggs is similar to that of IVF using eggs from a young, healthy woman (approximately 50% for each transfer attempt)
If you are unable to use your own eggs, or if your eggs are consistently of poor quality, egg donation can offer a real chance for a successful pregnancy.
This information may be helpful for those who are starting fertility treatment:
Many families wish to have several children and may plan accordingly. Our clinic offers a guarantee of at least three embryos for every fresh donation program using 12 eggs, ensuring that the children in your family will be genetically related to each other
If you want to increase the number of embryos and chances of expanding your family, you can also request that all donor eggs from one cycle be fertilized for you
You can select a donor online based on physical characteristics such as height, hair and eye color, blood type, and Rh factor (which may be important if you want to keep the egg donation private from your child and avoid Rh-factor conflict)
Our clinic's database contains over 650 true profiles of donors, and we invite you to visit it.
IVF with donor eggs may require a mental adjustment, but it is more similar to natural conception than one might think. The future mother carries and gives birth to the child, forming a strong emotional bond.
Couples who have successfully undergone IVF with donor eggs note that their babies resemble them in many ways, which leaves the whole family absolutely no room for doubt or uncertainty. The male partner's sperm provides a 50% genetic relation, and the child inherits their parents' mannerisms and speech, which make up a significant part for the remaining 50%.
Therefore, there is no need to worry about the lack of external or psychological resemblance. Fresh donor eggs provide you a real chance to finally become parents in a short amount of time, rather than spending effort on less effective treatment options that do not properly match your medical situation.
